About NISCHANISCHA - the ‘one stop site’ for self-catering holidays in Northern Ireland The Northern Ireland Self Catering Holiday Association (NISCHA) was set up in 1989 as a collective of self caterers for the betterment of the sector in a changing world. It is a not-for profit Association which initially was intended to represent the self catering sector of tourism from large multi-unit establishments to single property owners. As the membership grew the Association recognised the need to market the self catering sector in a more cohesive manner and so published it’s first brochure and undertook ‘on the ground’ marketing at shows and exhibitions. Today NISCHA has over 110 members which publishes an annual brochure (which is downloadable from this site), continually updates this site (www.nischa.com), and through the website has brokered deals for travel arrangements, premises insurance, self-drive car hire and a ferry company for starters. This gives the customer ‘the tourist’ the opportunity to make travel arrangements without leaving our website. The Association is recognised as the voice of the sector by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) and within its brochure lists the contact details for all registered self catering establishments in Northern Ireland. Join NowWho can join?
